Vocation Camps

 

St. Therese  (For Girls Entering 7th - College)

June 24 - 27, 2012

St. Therese Camp is for girls entering 7th through college. There will be separate discussion groups for those who are seniors and college age. The camp will begin with check-in at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 12, 2011. After you are settled into your room we will have a Mass for you and all your family members if they are able to attend. After Mass your family is welcome to stay for a family style dinner. The camp will end at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 15th.

First Call  (For Young Men Entering 10th Grade Thru College)

July 22 - 25, 2012

First Call Camp is for young men who will be entering grades 10 through college in the fall. There will be separate discussion groups for those in college and high school. The camp begins with check-in at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2011 and ends at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27th. Parents and siblings are welcome to come on Sunday for an opening Mass at 4 PM followed by dinner for everyone at 5 PM.

Though one of the main goals is to introduce the campers more fully to the vocations of priesthood and religious life, they are not exclusively for those who believe this is the vocation they are called to.

Anyone is welcome who is looking for a fun and faith filled time and is also open to learning about these awesome vocations.


General Information

• Unfortunately, we are currently not able/equipped to handle any special needs children unless it has been approved by the Director of Vocations.


• The following items are some things you need to bring:
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo and towel
  • Tennis shoes, or hiking boots
  • Casual clothing
  • Clothing for recreation (basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer,)
  • Nicer clothing for Mass with the Bishop (non denim slacks and shirt w/collar)
  • Mosquito repellant
  • PLEASE NO ELETRONIC DEVICES! Cell phone, I-Pods, Game Boys, etc. (We are not responsible for any lost or missing items.)
    
    For Girls: the same as above except, Nicer clothing for Poor Clare's, skirts and dresses, dress modestly, no shorts, no sleeveless tops, no low cut tops, no cut jeans.
