Summer Camp Information

Are you in jr. high or high school?  Are you looking to have a great time next summer?  Why not check out one of our St. Theresa summer camp for girls?  This camp is like most youth summer camps.  It is filled with fun, games, movies, talks, discussion, prayer, swimming, hiking, cookouts, a bonfire, snacks and a whole lot more!  On the first full day of the camp we will take a bus ride up to an amazing state park near Wisconsin Dells.  We will spend the day hiking, swimming, canoeing and cooking out while we also take time to talk about what it means to be a religious sister.  The rest of the week will be filled with all sorts of activities and will always give you an opportunity to not only have fun, but to also learn more about your faith and what God may want you to do with you life. 

St. Therese will begin with registration at 3:00 PM on Sunday.  After you are settled into your room we will have a Mass for you and all your family members if they are able to attend.  After Mass your family is welcome to stay for a family style dinner.  After Dinner your family will depart.  The camp will end at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.

The camp is being sponsored by the Vocation Office of the Diocese of Rockford and is being coordinated by Fr. Aaron Brodeski, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Rockford.  The actual camp will be facilitated by some wonderful religious sisters from around the country.  This year we are blessed to have 5 different religious communities who will be present for the whole week.  If you want to find out which communities of sisters will be facilitating the camp please click here for a list and for links to their communities web sites.

In the past this camp has been lots of fun and very informative.  Though one of the main goals is to introduce the girls more fully to the vocations of religious life, it is not exclusively for those who believe this is the vocation they are called to.  Anyone is welcome who is looking for a fun and faith filled time and is also open to learning about this awesome vocation.
