Summer Camp Information

Are you in high school?  Are you looking to have a great time next summer?  Why not check out one of our vocation summer camps?  These camps are like most youth summer camps.  They are filled with fun, games, sports, movies, talks, discussion, prayer, swimming, hiking, cookouts, a bonfire, snacks and a whole lot more!  On the first full day of each camp we will take a bus ride up to an amazing state park near Wisconsin Dells.  We will spend the day hiking, swimming, canoeing and cooking out while we also take time to talk about the priesthood and religious life.  The rest of the week will be filled with all sorts of activities and will always give you an opportunity to not only have fun, but to also learn more about your faith and what God may want you to do with you life.

First Call Camp is for those young men who will be entering into grades 10 and up in the fall.  Those who have recently started college are welcome to attend this camp also; there will be a special small group for you.

We will begin with registration at 3:00 PM on Sunday.  After you are settled into your room we will have a joint Mass for you and all your family members if they are able to attend.  After Mass your family is welcome to stay for a family style dinner.  After Dinner your family will depart.  The camp will end at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.

The camp will be facilitated by Fr. Aaron Brodeski, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Rockford.  We will also have most of our seminarians, other priests, religious brothers and dads who will help chaperone. 

In the past these camps have been lots of fun and very informative.  Though one of the main goals is to introduce the campers more fully to the vocations of priesthood and religious life, they are not exclusively for those who believe this is the vocation they are called to.  Anyone is welcome who is looking for a fun and faith filled time and is also open to learning about these awesome vocations.
